RECIPE FOR CHILLI IN NINJA MULTI COOKER
Here’s a recipe for chili made in the Ninja Multi-Cooker. This recipe is simple and quick, taking advantage of the pressure cooking function.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey if preferred)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes (or fresh tomatoes)
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth (or water)
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
Instructions:
- Sauté the Vegetables and Meat:
-
- Turn on your Ninja Multi-Cooker and set it to “Sauté” mode. Add the olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and bell pepper. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until softened.
- Add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef (or turkey) to the pot. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the Spices:
-
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat and veggies with the spices.
- Add the Remaining Ingredients:
-
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, and broth. Mix everything together.
- Pressure Cook:
-
- Close the lid of the Ninja Multi-Cooker, ensuring the valve is set to “Sealing.”
- Set the cooker to “Pressure Cook” on high for 15 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5–10 minutes, then do a quick release for any remaining pressure.
- Serve:
-
- Carefully open the lid and stir the chili. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve with toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions, if desired.
Enjoy your hearty, flavourful chili!
